Commentary (English version)

This piece was written as a homage to the American composer Morton Feldman. In this piece, I tried to create an atmosphere similar to some of his music from the period when he was writing in graphic notation, and to his music from the period when he abandoned graphic notation and returned to traditional notation to the period when he started writing large length works (almost 1970s). However, I didn't intend to create something completely similar, but tried to add a touch of Feldman's music from the period mentioned above, while reflecting my own personality to a large extent. (I myself also prefer also quiet music and quietness is the character of my works. Therefore I feel an affinity for Feldman's work in that regard. However, as it turns out, this piece may not be so Feldman-esque, but I will leave that to you, the listener, to judge.) Also, I have quoted some fragments of Feldman's works in this piece, but most people probably won't notice them unless they look at the score.

Commentary (Japanese version)

　この作品はアメリカの作曲家であるモートン・フェルドマンへのオマージュとして書かれております。時期によって作曲方法や作風を転換させていった彼ですが、この作品では、図形譜を書いていた時代の彼の一部の音楽と、図形譜を捨て伝統的な記譜法へと戻った時期から長大な長さの作品を書き始めるまでの期間（ほぼ1970年代）の彼の音楽に近い雰囲気を自分が作ってみるとどうなるか試したものです。とはいえ完全に似せたものを作ろうとするつもりはなく、あくまで私自身の個性を大きく反映した中で、上述の時期のフェルドマン作品風の雰囲気も加えてみようと試みた作品です。（私自身も静かな音楽を好み、静かさが私の作品の個性であるので、その点においてフェルドマンの作品に親近感を覚えます。ただ、結果としてそこまでフェルドマン的ではないかもしれませんが、その判断は聴き手の皆様にお任せします。） 　また、フェルドマンの作品の断片をいくつか引用として散りばめておりますが、おそらくほとんどの方は楽譜を見ないと気付かないと思います。
